We are very proud to share it with you and hope it gives you an insight into what we are all about at Heathfield. We have just under five hundred children on roll and we take the responsibility of preparing them for the next stage of their education extremely seriously. It is a privilege leading the team here and working with the children, staff and families in our community.
Our school is a welcoming and bright place where the children are enthusiastic and engaged in their learning. They are motivated to succeed and the staff work hard to make sure that happens. The children are at the heart of every decision we make and we do our utmost to ensure that they are happy and confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs both now and in the future.
At Heathfield, we believe that the children should be curious and passionate about their learning. Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that our children develop high aspirations and have memorable experiences. We strongly believe in ensuring that they receive a well-rounded curriculum where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured.
We have a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our relationships with you, the local community and the other schools in the Prince Albert Community Trust. We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and we value your input, interest and support.
We hope that this website will give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum and the extra-curricular activities that we provide. Please keep coming back to visit as it is regularly updated and if you cannot find what you are looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us. It is my pleasure to welcome you to Highfield School via our school website. It is a privilege to lead a team of talented and hardworking staff who support our 720 children every day.
I hope your questions are answered in the information you find on our website, be that as a current parent; as a parent with a child who is about to embark upon their learning journey with us; as someone who is keen to join our team or as a potential visitor to our school.
Highfield is a caring, inclusive and friendly school that is committed to raising aspirations for our children. The children are at the heart of everything we do – the decisions that we make are always in the best interests of the children who come here. At Highfield we have developed – ‘The Highfield Promise’. We want all our children to feel happy, inspired and cared for, so that they are able to fulfil their individual potential. We are keen to develop a love of learning and ignite a passion in areas that children can pursue in school and in later life. We want all children to become confident and independent learners. We are a diverse community and are passionate about valuing and celebrating the different cultures, faiths and backgrounds of everyone here.
All staff at Highfield are fully committed to providing high quality teaching and learning. We pride ourselves on our engaging learning techniques and strive to make all our lessons exciting, interesting and purposeful. We are passionate about recognising the individual talents of all the children in our care. We aim to provide opportunities that enable all children to reach their full potential.
We believe that children should be encouraged to develop positive values towards themselves, each other, and the wider community of which they are part. Our school has 6 values: Respect, Equality, Inspiration, Determination, Honesty and Friendship. They were chosen by our school community and we strongly believe that these values will lead our children to be successful in whatever they do – in school and in the years ahead.
Not only do we strive to support, nurture and develop our children, but we ensure that the same happens for staff. We have a proven track record of developing staff at all levels: we have the Early Career Development Quality Mark in recognition of the work that we do with our ECTs and many of our leaders in our school have completed or are completing NPQs. (National Professional Qualifications)
We are exceptionally proud to serve our local community and pride ourselves on the home-school relationships we create. We acknowledge the importance of our families to the successes of our children. We therefore warmly welcome our parents to attend our many varied school experiences, from celebrating successes to participating in parent workshops. We are always happy to hear your thoughts, questions and feedback, so feel free to contact us via the school website or by coming in to see us.

I am delighted to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to each of you as the Head of School at Prince Albert Primary. It is both an honour and a privilege to lead this remarkable school community, and I want to extend my warmest greetings to each of you.
As a mother of two boys, I understand the importance of providing the very best for our children. Just as I would with my own children, I am deeply committed to ensuring that every pupil at Prince Albert receives the highest quality education, care, and support.
I have had the privilege of serving the community of Prince Albert Primary School for 18 years. My long-standing commitment to this school and the community reflects my unwavering belief in the potential of our students and the importance I place on a strong educational foundation for all.
At Prince Albert we hold high aspirations for all our pupils and firmly believe in their limitless potential. My expectations for their achievements are equally high. With the right support and encouragement, I am confident that each child can reach their full potential.
One of our key focuses for this academic year is to continue strengthening and building vital home-school links. We recognise that a collaborative partnership between home and school is essential for your child's success. Together, we can create an environment where children thrive academically and personally.
My commitment and dedication to this community run deep. I am genuinely excited about the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead for our children, and I look forward to working closely with all of you to ensure their success.
I am always here to listen, support, and engage in open communication with parents, carers, and pupils. Your input and feedback are invaluable in shaping the future of our school. Together, we can make this school year a truly exceptional one for our students.

Please allow me to extend a warm welcome to you and your family. It is my absolute pleasure to be Head of School at Sutton Park Primary. We are a two-form entry primary school, located on the perimeter of beautiful Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield. We are proud to be part of the Prince Albert Community Trust - a successful multi academy trust that believe their schools must be good enough for their own children. As a mother to a beautiful, six year-old daughter, I hold this value close. Anything happening at Sutton Park Primary needs to meet my own expectations for her schooling. Our children get one chance at their primary years...we want to make them count!
We have a carefully considered curriculum in place at our school which ensures National Curriculum coverage in all key stages. High-quality texts form the basis of our Literacy curriculum and are also woven into weekly assemblies. Reading is a life skill which opens doors children didn’t even realise existed. It opens hearts, imaginations and curiosities - making the impossible seem possible. We want every child to leave our school loving reading; with a thirst to read more; with expanded vocabularies and with a catalogue of texts they’ve enjoyed during their time here.
We have four houses at Sutton Park Primary, named after world-famous children’s authors: Rowling, Lewis, Dahl and Donaldson. This propels reading to the forefront of each day but also fosters vital social skills in our pupils such as effective communication and nurture for those younger than themselves. Our houses work together to overcome challenges, celebrate successes and care for each other.
At the beginning of our Sutton Park Primary journey, staff shared their hopes and vision for our school. Their responses showed how dedicated, passionate and invested they are in our school and its future. Three words formed their underpinning values: BELIEVE, INSPIRE, ACHIEVE.
Whether you are joining us on the beginning of your child’s academic journey in EYFS, or in a later school year, we welcome you into our family. Those of you who are already part of our wonderful school, please remember my door is always open. It is a privilege to work alongside you in ensuring the very best education for your child.
